Hello neighbors,
The day we’ve been counting down to is almost here! Our annual Neighborhood Summer BBQ Block Party is happening this Sunday, June 7th, and we can’t wait to see you there. It’s our favorite afternoon of the year—a chance to slow down, share a meal, and catch up with the wonderful people who make Rex Manor such a great place to live.
The Details#
- Date: Sunday, June 7th, 2026
- Time: 12:00 noon to 4:00 pm
- Place: San Pierre Street, in front of the entrance to Theuerkauf School, between San Luis and Ormonde Drive
This section of the street will be closed to traffic, so it’s a safe, open space for everyone to gather, mingle, and let the kids run around.
Food & Fun#
Bring the entire family and join your neighbors for FREE hot dogs, sausages, hamburgers, salmon and veggie burgers, chips, salad, soda, juice, popsicles, and ice cream. We’ll have plenty to go around!
A few friendly suggestions to make the day even better:
- If you can, bring a dessert to share.
- Bring a blanket if you’d like to sit out on the lawn.
Fun for kids: We’ve got a sidewalk chalk art contest, animal balloons, and bubbles to keep the little ones happily busy.
Give Back: CSA Food Donations#
The Community Services Agency (CSA) will have a table set up to collect food donations. CSA is a local non-profit that provides emergency financial assistance, food and nutrition programs, senior services, and homeless services right here in our community. If you’re able, please bring something to donate and drop it off at their table. Non-perishable items like shelf-stable milk and juice, dry goods, baking mixes, crackers, and lunch-size snacks are especially welcome. Cash donations (which are tax-deductible) are also greatly appreciated.
See You There!#
A huge thank-you to all the volunteers who lend their time, grills, canopies, and helping hands to pull this together every year—it truly takes a village. If you’d like to get involved or stay in the loop on neighborhood happenings, you can always join our mailing list.
Questions? Email david@rexmanor.org. Otherwise, we’ll see you on San Pierre Street this Sunday!
